As if the selection of exciting news coming out of San Diego Comic Con wasn’t enough, a recent image leak seems to reveal that the next Overwatch comic will feature the omnic-hating Zarya, as well as the stealth hero Sombra. The picture, which seems to have surfaced from SDCC, may well reveal the origins of the Russian body-builder’s hatred for Earth’s robotic citizens, or else see the tank hero receiving a change of heart.

From what we can tell from the image, the upcoming comic looks to depict Zarya defending an omnic from the Los Muertos gang which could indicate that the Overwatch hero no longer hates robotic humanoids. Seeing as this change would result in a lot of dialogue needing altering, many fans online seem to believe that this could be a prequel story that has Zarya learning to distrust the omnics.
