Hideo Kojima seems to have no interest in working on another horror game, despite the positive reception for P.T. before the cancellation of Silent Hills.
As we eagerly await more news on the upcoming Hideo Kojima title, Death Stranding, the man himself discusses why he would never want to develop another horror game in the future. This comes shortly after the announcement that the eagerly-anticipated title, starring Norman Reedus and Mads Mikkelsen, would not be pursuing a dark, horror aspect in its development.
Though responsible for creating P.T., a terrifying sample of what could have been if the production for Silent Hills had not been cancelled, Kojima spoke to IGN at RTX Sydney this year, commenting that he is not interested in returning to the horror franchise. Interestingly enough, one reason he doesn’t wish to revisit the horror genre is due to his capacity for being more prone to getting spooked.
